Oswaldo Vigas: A Sensuous Abstractionism seeks to show Vigas’ approach to abstraction in the 1950s, which would mark his work across decades, and which was detonated by his participation in the Universidad Central de Venezuela murals, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. He was one of the key links in the region’s quest for unique visual languages, developed across the Atlantic through an artistic network between France and Venezuela.
