The Espaço Cultural Porto Seguro presents, from November 9, 2019, to February 2, 2020, Cruz-Diez: a liberdade da cor, an exhibition curated by Rodrigo Villela and planned jointly with the artist for more than a year.
Through 8 unique works, which highlights the interaction and participation of visitors, on an immersive journey in the artist's research and in the universe of color. Like a selection of 20 black and white photographs, taken by the artist throughout his life, mainly in his native Venezuela. This exhibition, distributed in two environments, seeks to spread the great artistic contribution of the teacher in the South American giant, beyond the confines of kinetic art.
Upon arrival, the sample receives the visitor with a maze of Transchromies in shades of green, blue, yellow and orange that reflects the most varied shades of color on the white wall, giving the front to a Chromointerférence Environment and a Chromosaturation Chamber that produce a great diversity of color variations.
In Brazil, his works are in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro.
