Breathe with Me is a large-scale, public participatory artwork, developed by Jeppe Hein in collaboration with ART 2030, a non-profit organization art linking with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The piece is built with the invitation to the public to paint their own breath. Each breath takes the form of parallel lines painted in blue, which is translated on the canvas as a sequence of exhalations that invite participants to reflect on themselves and the world around them.
Throughout 2019 and 2020 this action has been developed in different places such as Switzerland, Denmark, New York, Greenland, Burkina Faso, Australia, Latvia, among others.
