The Museo Jumex inaugurates the retrospective Gego: Measuring Infinity. The exhibition brings together nearly 120 works by the Venezuelan artist, including drawings, watercolors and sculptures.
"Now that we live immersed in a digital image, it makes it increasingly important to go back to having a real experience. What Gego's work does is that it allows this immersion in these three-dimensional structures, which refer to social structures and connections with the cosmos," says the curator of the exhibition, Pablo León de la Barra, who emphasizes that the work of this artist can be reviewed from several readings due to one characteristic: its timelessness.
