Galia Eibenschutz is an interdisciplinary artist working in performance and the visual arts. Her practice is driven by research into different methods of registering movement, the slow passage of time, and the body’s presence and projection into architectural space. She studied visual arts at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas (now Facultad de Artes y Diseño) of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and continued her training at DasArts in Amsterdam.

Her workshop on drawing and movement, offered at numerous universities and art spaces in Mexico and the United States, is an integral part of her practice. She has exhibited works, held screenings, and staged performances at numerous venues in Mexico, including Arte Abierto, Casa Wabi, Museo Cabañas, Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, Museo Jumex, Museo Tamayo, Museo Universitario del Chopo, Casa del Lago, Laboratorio Arte Alameda, Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros, and Teatro de la Danza.

She has also collaborated with international spaces such as Assembly (New York, USA), the Center for Visual Communication (Miami, USA), Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunst (Ghent, Belgium), The Cedar Cultural Center (Minneapolis, USA), and YYZ (Toronto, Canada), among others. She was awarded an International Choreographer Fellowship by the McKnight Foundation (2019) and was a commissioned artist for the 15th Bienal FEMSA (2024).

She is currently a member of Mexico's Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte, awarded for the 2023–2026 period.
