Biography

Vicente Forte - 艺术家 - GALERÍA RGR

(Lanus, Argentina, 1912 - 1980)

Vicente Forte was an Argentine painter and teacher. He had more than thirty years of experience, and also won several awards for his works.

He studied engraving with Lino Eneas Spilimbergo and plastic composition with Emilio Pettoruti. In 1953 he graduated from the School of Fine Arts, with the title of Professor of Drawing.

Between 1949 and 1950, he conducted a trip through Portugal, Spain, Italy, and France to study art. He was also the founder of the group Orión, whom he exhibited with in 1939 and 1947, as well as the group XX Painters and Sculptors, with whom he held several exhibitions between 1952 and 1957.

He died in Lanus, Argentina on November 7, 1980.
