By the end of the 1950's, Carlos Cruz-Diez proposed himself a personal and artistic challenge that would earn him a privileged spot in the history of art in the 20th century: freeing color from form, presenting an ever-changing circumstance, autonomous and unstable that could live beyond the canvas. From the basis of his plastic speech in 1959, all the work of Cruz-Diez has been a long process of investigation directed to discover, create and propose new ways to address the color phenomenon in art.
The exhibition shows the lifetime exploration of Cruz-Diez around color by gathering a wide sample of some of his most recent works.
