马格达莱纳·费尔南德斯是一名才华出众的艺术家；通过在物理学、数学、平面设计、视觉艺术和声音艺术的学习，为她的艺术创作奠定了结实的基础。自1990年代以来，马格达莱纳开始尝试实验性的创作，类似于赫苏斯·拉斐尔·索托（Jesús Rafael Soto）的公共艺术作品，马格达莱纳的公共艺术作品通过与观众互动，进一步让大众体会委内瑞拉浓厚现代艺术历史底蕴。
之后，费尔南德斯在模拟艺术和数字媒体艺术中建立了联系，通过这些联系将抽象化为历史话语，进行扩展、修改和并恢复其独特性，并与现代主义艺术保持着一场对话。艺术家的整个创造过程中最重要的部分是便是将艺术由抽象化回归普世化，其与自然环境、周遭景观环境的联系是无法用文字比拟的。通过艺术家费尔南德斯之手，游走的抽象艺术在变化的自然中找到其回归：变化、运动、碎片化、改造，这些所有的元素看似与其本质形态有所违背，但却将艺术、艺术家、观赏者链接在了一起。
通过影像、装置、雕塑、素描和平面设计等媒介，艺术家费尔南德斯将作品融合一种可塑结构，把原本完全牢固的物体变得看起来拥有了流动性。
目前，马格达莱纳在委内瑞拉的加拉加斯生活和工作。
